Overview

Webber Wentzel has extensive expertise in all areas of dispute resolution and opinion work in public law. We advise public and private sector clients in the institution and defence of judicial review proceedings; formulation of tender procedures; preparation and adjudication of tenders; various disputes related to tenders; requests for reasons and access to information; land claims; regulatory law disputes; expropriations; all issues related to media freedom, including defamation and privacy (both pre- and post-publication), data protection, constitutional litigation and challenging or defending exercises of public power, including legislation.

Our partners and associates, backed by decades of experience and relevant local and international qualifications, represent clients in the High Court, Land Claims Court, Supreme Court of Appeal and Constitutional Court, as well as before international arbitral tribunals, the Press Council, and the Broadcasting Complaints Commission of South Africa.
