- 23 May 2012

An article in The New Age reported on the temporary closure of the Goodman Gallery after the controversial painting “The Spear” was defaced. The incident occurred as the first day of court procedures for the urgent application for the removal of the painting from the gallery ad City Press website were ending.

Greg Palmer, an associate, at Webber Wenztel was reported to have laid charges of malicious damage to property against the perpetrators at the Rosebank police station as the gallery’s legal representative.
