Deon is a partner in the Employment and Employee Benefits Practice at Webber Wentzel.

Deon has over 13 years' experience in the field of employment and labour law. His expertise includes advising on all employment law aspects in mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring and general directors’ employment contractual issues.

He regularly advises corporate, local government and individual clients on all aspects of employment and labour law, including High Court, Labour Court, the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) and Bargaining Council, individual or collective employment matters.

Deon has vast experience in local government employment law and has and continues to act for the City of Cape Town. He has been advising the City of Cape Town in respect of all its restructuring processes, including the formation of the City in 2000 resulting in the amalgamation of seven local municipalities and, more recently, the standardisation of various sets of conditions of service, job designations and salary scales.
