Rico is a senior associate in the Technology, Media, Telecommunications and Intellectual Property Practice at Webber Wentzel.

Before joining Webber Wentzel in November 2010, Rico was an associate in the Intellectual Property department at Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr where he joined as a candidate attorney in 2006. Rico was admitted in 2008.

Rico has specialised in Intellectual Property law for the past four years and has assisted local and international clients with trade mark clearance searches and the protection and enforcement of Intellectual Property rights in South Africa. He also deals with Intellectual Property litigation, Intellectual Property aspects relating to commercial matters and securitisation and due diligence investigations, and also advises clients on media, entertainment and advertising law and matters before the Advertising Standards Authority.
