Mark is a partner and head of the Real Estate Practice at Webber Wentzel. He was admitted as an attorney, notary and conveyancer. He served articles with Hathorn Cameron and Co in Pietermaritzburg where he was a partner until 1999. He joined Solomon Nicolson Rein and Verster Inc in 1999. In 2004 Mark became the senior partner of Solomon Nicolson Rein and Verster Inc a position which he held until May 2007 when he Joined Webber Wentzel.

Mark served on the executive committee of the Pretoria Attorneys Association from 2004 to 2007. During this time he also served as the chairman of the Property Committee of the Association.
