Johan de Lange is a partner in the Banking and Finance Practice at Webber Wentzel.

His practice focuses on acquisition and leveraged finance, private equity fund financings, project finance, commercial real estate finance, structured finance, general syndicated debt and capital restructure transactions.

Johan's clients include all the major Johannesburg banks, several London and New York-based banks and financial institutions, including most of the prominent American and European development finance institutions.  His experience extends to those areas where finance law interfaces with taxation, mergers and acquisitions and bank and financial institution regulation.

Johan previously worked at Allen & Overy in London, a leading banking law firm in London's magic circle and at a Johannesburg investment bank.
His expertise has been recognised by various international research organisations including Chambers Global, Legal 500, IFLR1000, Who's Who Legal and Best Lawyers.

Johan has an LLB degree from the University of Potchefstroom, an LLM degree from the University of Johannesburg and an M.Sc degree from the London School of Economics
