Bruce Dickinson is a partner in the Corporate Practice and head of the Mining Sector at Webber Wentzel.
He specialises in mergers and acquisitions in the mining industry, the structuring of mining companies, mining transactions and projects, as well as the development and operational aspects thereof. Bruce advises various mining companies on their investments in Sub-Saharan Africa and has advised on transactions and projects in the majority of key resource rich jurisdictions on the continent.
He is an accomplished international speaker and has addressed various mining conferences and seminars in South Africa, Australia, Canada and Zimbabwe. He is regularly approached for comment on the mining industry by various business and industry publications and has published a number of articles on the mining industry. Bruce also co-authored the chapter on South Africa in Minerals and Mining: A Practical Global Guide. He is also a trustee of several trusts in the mining industry.
Bruce is an admitted attorney in South Africa and an admitted solicitor in England and Wales. He is a member of both the Law Society of South Africa and the Law Society of England and Wales.
His expertise has been recognised by various international research organisations including Chambers Global, Legal 500, IFLR1000, Who’s Who Legal and Best Lawyers.
Bruce has BA and LLB degrees from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, has completed a course in Prospecting and Mining Law at the University of the Witwatersrand and a Higher Certificate in Financial Markets and Instruments from the Academy of Financial Markets.
