Eugene Phajane is a partner in the Employment, Health & Safety Practice at Webber Wentzel.

He specialises in all aspects of employment law in the mining industry.  He also has a keen interest in the Mine Health and Safety Act, No 29 of 1996 (MHSA) and represents mining houses at investigations and inquiries in terms of the MHSA.  He also represents mining houses against criminal prosecutions relating to breaches of the MHSA.

Eugene provides training on the MHSA and OHSA.  He also handles civil litigations in both the Magistrate’s and High Courts.

He is a member of the South African Society for Labour Law.

Eugene has an LLB degree from North-West University.
