Judith is a senior associate in the Technology, Media, Telecommunications and Intellectual Property Practice at Webber Wentzel.

After her masters, Judith worked for a year at Deloitte & Touché in the Corporate Tax division as a Junior Legal Consultant. She completed her articles at Mkhabela Huntley Adekeye Inc (MHA) from 2006 to 2008.

Following Judith's admission in July 2008, she obtained experience in General Commercial, Telecommunications and Media law.

She later joined Netcare Limited as a junior legal advisor where she assisted with the review and drafting of contracts and general advisory.

  • Part of the team which assisted the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) in reviewing its current practices of commissioning rights with independent producers;
  • Development and drafting of licence terms and conditions for the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA); and
  • Part of the team which assisted ICASA in developing new terms and conditions for both Class and Individual Licences as set out in the Electronic Communications Act (ECA) for each of the following categories: Electronic Communications Network Services, Electronic Communications Services and Broadcasting Services.
