Peter Leon, a partner at Webber Wentzel, was recently quoted in an article regarding the nationalisation of South African mining industry by the ANC, however Minister of Minerals Susan Shabangu said a state take over of South Africa's strategic industry would not occur in her lifetime.
Peter was quoted saying "her speech seems to mark a significant departure from her and the government's previous hard-line approach towards the South African mining industry".
