Serving & Investing in Community
We are deeply committed to serving communities and helping wherever we can. We serve our communities in a number of ways. We have a dedicated pro bono team whose mandate is to provide free legal services to poor and/or vulnerable members of the public. We are committed to promoting access to justice for all South Africans, upholding the Constitution and protecting the rule of law. In our most recent financial year, our firm spent 21,056 hours on pro bono related matters, valued at approximately ZAR 63.1million.
We also support a number of Corporate Social Investment initiatives focused on education. Through the Webber Wentzel Empowerment Trust we provide financial assistance, mentorship and life skills to support black South Africans seeking to enter the legal community.
