The Legal Services Centre assists our advisory teams and clients with legal task and process mapping. Our focus is to streamline, automate and simplify operational processes to foster efficient, cost-effective performance, and reduce time and effort.

Using a combination of proven workflows and processes, technology, and analytics tools, our process specialists work with clients to enable data-driven decision-making, enhance risk assessment, and improve internal and external efficiency. In our experience, understanding the 'what', the 'how' and the 'why' is essential to creating a high-performance legal services delivery strategy.

Case study

legal project management + alternative delivery models + legal technology

A large client sought to transition its in-house lower value, dispute resolution management process, to a legal support team at Webber Wentzel.

Solution

A legal project manager worked closely with the client to map out all the stages of these low-value litigation matters. The main focus of this project was to ensure co-ordination across the client's different businesses and identify appropriate stages for these matters to be referred to Webber Wentzel. We also sought to ensure cost efficiencies and transparency, identifying areas for possible enhancements (including templates, automation, legal technology and matter management), with regular reporting on fees incurred.  Fixed fee rates were agreed for the work to be undertaken by the legal support team at Webber Wentzel and appropriate reporting structures for costs were put in place.

Outcomes

We developed a unique alternative dispute resolution model for our client that incorporates alternative resourcing, legal technologies and effective matter management at a fixed fee.​
