June applications for C-19 TERS are now open

The UIF has opened June applications for TERS. Visit www.uifecc.labour.gov.za/covid19 to apply. However, some employers have detected security breaches in the TERS application system (which allows some data to be accessible to other applicants). We recommend that employers do not submit applications for June at this stage until this issue has been resolved by the UIF. We will post a further update once the system has been fixed.

Based on information available as at 23 June 2020, the UIF confirmed that for April and May, the UIF paid out R30 billion benefitting approximately 5 7 million employees of 480 000 employers/bargaining councils.

There are still outstanding TERS claims for April and May. To follow up TERS applications:

The Department of Employment & Labour and UIF also regularly provide updates on TERS via their respective Twitter pages: DEL: @deptoflabour / UIF: @UIFBenefits.
