Last week Webber Wentzel engaged with the Select Committee on Land and Minerals to highlight some unintended consequences in the proposed amendments to the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Amendment Bill (MPRDA Bill). As stakeholders in the mining industry, we want to assist in creating the most appropriate legislation for South Africa in these changing times and contribute to creating a mining regulatory framework which will promote investment and growth.
