Global research and advisory firm, Universum, published its Most Attractive Employers rankings for 2018, listing the companies that South African students and professionals are most keen to work for. Webber Wentzel was ranked 3rd in South Africa's most attractive legal employers according to law students (after the Department of Justice & Constitutional Development and Legal Aid South Africa) and was ranked 5th in South Africa's most attractive legal employers according to professionals. Since the law category was first introduced in 2014, Webber Wentzel has consistently featured in the top 5.
Universum interviewed over 45,957 university students from 25 universities and about 21,686 professionals and considered key sectors including business and commerce, technology and engineering, and law. The survey which was released this week was carried out between September 2017 and February 2018.
The rankings provide valuable insights on how talent evaluates employer brands. According to the report, job seekers consider job security, a work/life balance and corporate culture, among others.
Rachel Masuku, HR Director at Webber Wentzel: "It is an honour to be positioned as one of Universum's top employers as one of our strategic objectives is to attract and retain talent and to make real and positive change".
