Webber Wentzel has won the 2018 Private Equity Africa (PEA) Local Legal Advisor of the Year Award at the 7th Annual PEA GP & Advisor Awards. The Awards, held in partnership with the London Business School Private Equity Institute, celebrate the achievements of private equity houses and their advisors.

For the fifth consecutive year, Webber Wentzel has been recognised by these prestigious awards and previous years saw them recognised twice as Deals Legal Advisor of the Year (in 2014 and 2016) and twice as Funds Legal Advisor of the Year (in 2015 and 2017).

Each year, the winners are selected by a panel of independent judges, based on recommendations from the London Business School Private Equity Institute and the PEA Awards Advisory Panel. The 2018 PEA Awards received a record number of entries, the highest since the awards were launched.

Nicole Paige, Private Equity Sector Co-Head at Webber Wentzel received the award on behalf of the firm at the Awards Gala Dinner which was held at The Langham Hotel in London on Tuesday, 12 June 2018. "Receiving this award from an internationally recognised authority, such as PEA, is an honour and an endorsement of our international reputation," she said.
