Webber Wentzel wins new award for its full-spectrum private equity offering

Webber Wentzel is proud to announce that it was named the leading firm in Legal Services Overall: South Africa – a new category at the 2021 Africa Global Funds (AGF) Service Providers Awards.

At the same event, Webber Wentzel’s Tax team took the Tax Advisory Firm award - the fourth time it has been named the leading firm in this field.

The AGF Awards were created to honour and generate industry and public recognition for the outstanding efforts and accomplishments of fund service providers covering Africa. This is the 6th time that the awards have been held. The judges, who include SAVCA CEO Tanya van Lill, ST Funds Management CEO Tim Staermose and Roxanne Ryan Alozie, the MD for Business Development at the US Development Finance Corporation, are carefully selected for their expertise and independence.

These awards follow Webber Wentzel’s recent win at the International Tax Review Awards, where it was named South African Tax Firm of the Year 2021 for the second time in three years. Both awards are a reflection of the effective co-operation between the firm’s market-leading private equity and tax teams.

Webber Wentzel offers a full spectrum private equity service. Its tax specialists are an integral part of this offering, ensuring the efficient structuring of vehicles and deals, and maximising returns for clients.
