Webber Wentzel is proud to have been involved in most of the shortlisted deals in each of the 2023 DealMakers Awards' various categories. One of their partners, Colin du Toit, has also been shortlisted for the Individual DealMaker of the Year.

With over 20 years of experience in public and private mergers and acquisitions, Colin has led several high-profile deals, including, but not limited to MTN SA’s sale and leaseback of its SA towers portfolio, Thungela Resources' acquisition of a controlling stake in the Ensham Coal Mine, Heriot REIT's public offer to acquire Safari Investments issued shared not already held, Northam's acquisition of an anchor stake of 34.5% of Royal Bafokeng Platinum and subsequent contested general offer for its control.
